Tips for changing your publication's name
Hello.gifShakespeare promises us that "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet." But how about a publication? Handle a name change incorrectly and  you risk losing readers and identity. Here's what one publisher has learned about publication name changes through personal experience.
 
Income and age of magazine readers climbs
reading.gifIn a good sign for magazines, the median income of magazine readers is up four percent over last year, according to a new survey by Mediamark Research Inc. But the survey also reported a more troubling measure: the average age of magazine readers increased to 45.1, up from 44.8 in 2007.
