Shakespeare promises us that "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet." But how about a publication? Handle a name change incorrectly and you risk losing readers and identity. Here's what one publisher has learned about publication name changes through personal experience.
In a good sign for magazines, the median income of magazine readers is up four percent over last year, according to a new survey by Mediamark Research Inc. But the survey also reported a more troubling measure: the average age of magazine readers increased to 45.1, up from 44.8 in 2007.
