Services for Freelancers

Although EPA is primarily an organization for periodicals and the people who produce them, we also offer services for freelancers.

Board candidates elected

Theresa Keener, Dwight Widaman and Ted Olsen were elected to EPA's board during an election held during EPA's annual meeting May 6 at EPA 2011 in Chicago.

Doctrinal statement

Although EPA members represent a range of theological views, they are united by shared beliefs on core doctrinal issues. Our doctrinal statement mirrors that of the National Association of Evangelicals.

Code of ethics

The Evangelical Press Association was formed for professional stimulation and for fellowship, and not to police the activities of its members. Nevertheless, we have a code of ethics and ask all members to agree to these standards as a framework for their ethical practice.

Guidelines for editor/writer relationships

HandshakeOne of the most important factors in the success of a publication is the editor/writer relationship. It is especially important within EPA, as we have committed to advancing the work and witness of Jesus Christ and the church.

As a service to the membership, EPA has developed the following guidelines for editor/writer relationships.

EPA's complaint resolution procedure

Two people arm wrestlingDespite Rodney King's plea, sometimes we can't all just get along. EPA has an ethics committee to hear disputes involving member publications. Here's the procedure EPA follows when an ethics complaint is received.

And now, a word from our sponsors
